Noah and I tried to do our bit for the good old environment today by shopping on pedal power. As you can see from the photos, we did possibly over do it on the purchases. It is amazing though, how much can be carried on a bike:
1 small child of average weight, 1 honey dew melon, bunch of bananas, box of cereal, 2 loaves of bread, 1 block of parmesan, 2 corgettes, 3 bell peppers, punnet of tomatoes, pancakes, shampoo…
Okay, I admit, it did feel a little wobbly at first and Noah could not see past shopping her clung to. Also there was not quite enough room for my backside on the seat (one of the reasons for cycling in the first place, ha!)
Panniers darling! However you are looking a lot more professional than my two plastic bags evenly balanced on each handlebar on the way back from the shop! Used to do it with a big rucksack on my back, but the baby on board does not allow that space now!!
PS if you went to Co-op this doesnt really count!
